John Frederick PeGan, 64, of Greendale, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
He was born Tuesday, November 18, 1947, in Huntington, Indiana, son of the late Frederick "Fritz" and Rosemary (Etter) PeGan.
He was a proud graduate of Purdue University; member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church; the Benevolent Order of the Elks; and the Knights of Columbus. However, his greatest pride was his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nicki (Mitchell) PeGan, formerly of Aiken, South Carolina; son, Mitchell (wife Megan Murphy) PeGan; daughter, Courtney PeGan; 3 brothers, Samuel Paul (Jodi) PeGan of Huntington, IN, Raymond Edward (Lee M Bowers) PeGan of Huntington, IN, and Peter Joseph (Vanessa) PeGan of Lafayette, IN; 4 sisters, Susan Ann (Carl) Jaeger of Holland, MI, Mary June (John) Buhler of Huntington, IN, Margaret Rose (Don Hibschweiler) PeGan of Indianapolis, IN, and Rita Clare (John) Maloney of Brownsburg, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick "Fritz" and Rosemary PeGan.
Family and friends will be received Friday, May 4, 2012 from 5pm to 8pm at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Greendale, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 11am with Father Jack Hartzer officiating.
